Why TO BE AN UNKNOWN Has Been Pushed Back A Month

Good evening, everyone!

So, today’s blog post is about something that some of you may have noticed…

My sixth book, TO BE AN UNKNOWN, which we have been counting down to for ages, should have hit shelves on August 16th— in other words, the weekend just gone!

Except, that didn’t happen…

But, don’t worry those of you who are waiting for it, because TO BE AN UNKNOWN is still going to be released and hitting shelves, both in paperback and in e-book formats. 🙂 I just thought I would take some time out to quickly explain why the new release date is Saturday 13th September, 2014— a wait around around 25-ish more days. 🙂

Simply, when the release date for the book was set, it all looked fine, except as it got closer to the time, a large personal family matter arose. As I mentioned, it is a personal family matter, so I don’t wish to— as they say— “divulge” too much into all the details!

This means that a lot of things will changing for a couple of weeks or so, and it clashed with the release of this book.

Naturally, my family come first, no matter how much I love writing or releasing books, and— not only that— I’m most likely going to be too busy with my family during this time that it would be very difficult for me to do events, blog tours, or any other promotion or activities that I really enjoy!
Basically, it would mean releasing TO BE AN UNKNOWN— a book that I wished to write for a very long time, spent another very long length of time working on, and then another very long length of time waiting for it to hit shelves— only for me to miss it when it does release…and instead I want to be there when it does!

From this, the decision was made to push TO BE AN UNKNOWN back by just four weeks. This means that now I can be a part of my own book release, the book and I can go on a blog tour, some interviews can happen, booktube things, giveaways possibly, and so on and so on. 🙂

Of course, I understand that some of you have been waiting for this book, but I just hope that you can see and understand my reasoning why I agreed to delay the book by a few weeks. 🙂 At least it will be bigger and better next month, hey?

Anyway, thank you for listening/reading, and I thank you for your understanding and patience. I’m very grateful to not only those who buy my books, but anybody who supports me in any which way, and reading this blog is one of those. 🙂

Until next time,
Take care!
Joshua
