New.

Hello everybody!

Now, if you’ve been here for a while (thank you!), then you may have noticed that this blog now has a new look! It’s not a fancy as the one I had before with lots of pictures, colour schemes, and backgrounds, but instead– as you can see– much more simple; fresh and de-cluttered, I think.

That’s kind of what I’m doing with things in life at the moment, as deep as that may sound. For those of who don’t know, I’ve just been accepted into the University of Brighton. I’m going to be moving in September to study English Literature and Education down there. I’m very excited!

But with this, of course, means moving to a new place. I currently live in Lincolnshire, and Brighton is about 250 miles away from here– and I’ve only ever been in Brighton for 18 hours (when I went for the Open Day!), so I’m just trusting my instinct and going for a new adventure.

New course. New place. New home. New bedroom. New people.

And soon I’ll be quitting my day-job (16 more work days!) and going back to being a full-time writer and blogger for a while, before finding a new job in Brighton.

So, as you can tell, there’s a lot of “new” going on– and I feel as though it’s come at the right time. I’ll have 2 weeks off after leaving my day-job before moving down to Brighton, and between now and then I want to just get myself sorted and change things up.

I feel as though now is the time to get myself into  good routine with blogging and making videos, as I haven’t had much of a routine or schedule for these things for ages. So, from now on, I’ll be blogging on a Monday and a Friday, and I’ll be uploading a new video on a Wednesday and a Sunday. I already have about a month or so planned, so I’m looking forward to jumping into it all!

Last month, I also came out as gay to my online audience too. This is something I want to talk about in more detail in the future, so I won’t go into too much depth with this now, but let me just say that this has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. This has also felt like a huge new start for me, and a chance to start a fresh.

Basically, everything is changing for me at the moment, but at the same time, everything is very exciting, and new, and I can’t wait for the future.

Sometimes you have to just flip everything around and throw yourself in the deep end. 🙂

That’s all for this blog post, so I’ll see you again very soon!

Thank you 🙂

News!

Hello everybody,
I’m excited today to tell you I have some news to share. Now, it’s not as huge as a new novel (I’m focusing on the MALMONT SUMMER series at the moment), but I’m looking forward to it all the same, as it’s something I’ve never done before.

So here we go…

On July 2nd, my short story, entitled EVA, will be published! It will only be available electronically and will be 99p/99c/etc.

“At 30-40 pages long (8—10k words), EVA follows the very complicated character of Miss Eva Lowell—a young woman who has been uprooted from her old life and dropped into the middle of New York City. But, as we follow Eva, we soon learn that she has secrets of her own. Because you shouldn’t trust everybody that you come across, and Miss Lowell is perfect proof of that…”

I hope you like the sound of it, and don’t forget my full-length novel, A MALMONT SUMMER, will be hitting shelves on August 1st! I’m personally excited for EVA because it’s something—a long-ish short story—that  I haven’t done before. 🙂

Thank you very much for your time and your support, as always, and I hope you all have an amazing week.

See you soon!

A MALMONT SUMMER | Cover Reveal

Hello everybody!

First of all, I just want to say a MASSIVE thank you for all the love and support that has been shown across the Internet for A MALMONT SUMMER so far! I honestly really, really love this book—it’s my favourite one yet!—and it makes me feel all fuzzy when my little (350+paged) book is shouted about.

So. Today marks 100 days until AMS hits shelves (*flails* *dances* *gets nervous* *lays on floor*), and that means that today…I get to reveal the front cover!!

And I don’t want to keep you waiting much longer, so here we go….

AHHH!

I hope you all love it as much as I do! I think it really matches the events in the book—the colours, the font, the tag line…I just can’t wait to hold it as a physical book now!

For those of you who don’t know, A MALMONT SUMMER hits shelves on August 1st, 2015, and here’s the pitch for those of you who might have missed it:

Set in Santa Monica, A MALMONT SUMMER follows four girls who attend St. Malmont—a boarding school for the teenagers of the extremely rich, located between golden sands and sparkling waters, raving nightclubs and fast cars—as they go about enjoying their summer.

But when a difference in views arises between Heidi and Danielle, their typical summer they had been expecting is turned upside down—almost literally, as they end up flitting to the other side of the globe to Australia, where their summer truly kicks off.

With their two other friends, Lottie and Hannah, the four girls make a plan to follow two very different bucket lists, based on two very different sets of opinions, in order to be able to settle their argument once and for all.

Along the way, however, their summer becomes much more eventful than they ever anticipated—secrets are revealed, love lives are tangled, and crimes are committed…and that’s just the start.

Because, when you’re the daughters of extremely rich families, the sky is the limit when it comes to proving your points…

So, that’s all for now! Thank you again for everything, and I hope to talk to you again very soon!

Josh 🙂

P.S. The book will available for pre-order in just 10 days time! May 3rd! Ahh!
